Med Tech CPR Requirement Update (COMAR 2025)
Under the 2025 Maryland COMAR regulatory updates, Medication Technicians (Med Techs) are required to maintain current CPR certification. Whether completing initial certification or renewal, individuals must now complete a hands-on CPR skills demonstration as part of their training to meet regulatory requirements.
CMT Renewal Reminder: Important Maryland Update
Starting April 1, 2026, the Maryland General Assembly requires additional training for healthcare license and certificate renewals.
What You Must Complete:
This is a one-time requirement for renewal applicants:
- Structural Racism Training
Required for all applicants at their first renewal after April 1, 2026. - Implicit Bias Training
If you have already completed this training, you do not need to repeat it. If you have not completed it, you must do so before your next renew
